Celosia
These blooms have a unique appearance. Commonly called cock’s comb, they range from cone-like, pinnate-shaped blooms to more oddly shaped waddle-like blooms that look a bit like brains. They come in a wide variety of colors, giving us lots of choices for incorporating them into Halloween arrangements.
At first glance of one of our favorite October arrangements, Bountiful Beauty, you might think that the bright sunflowers are the real showstopper element of the design. While they’re beautiful and sunny, we especially love the dark purple celosia. They lend an otherwise fairly traditional fall arrangement of sunflowers, roses, lilies, hydrangea, tulips, berries, and leaves a quirky, feathery appearance. Their texture makes the whole arrangement unique and surprising.
