March 8 brings us International Women’s Day, an occasion reserved for honoring the efforts and achievements of women to make the world a better place. It’s an acknowledgement (and a mission) that is celebrated in over 100 countries across the world, and we here at Kitty’s Flowers will be joining right in. If you’re looking for a way to honor the most influential women in your life, give them flowers. That’s what they do on this day every year in lots of other cultures.

In Italy, they give yellow mimosa flowers, and in Russia, they give flowers to each and every one of the women in the family. Since we don’t have any specific floral tradition for this day, we’d like to propose one.
